Welcome to Bernard Terrace Elementary School!

Bernard Terrace Elementary School has a legacy of educational excellence. Built in 1927, the school is located in the heart of Mid-City and is situated on three picturesque acres. Our school is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and personal growth for every student. With a passionate team of educators, we provide a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. We celebrate the diverse backgrounds of our students and promote inclusivity, ensuring that every child feels valued and empowered. At Bernard Terrace, we believe in strong partnerships with families and the community to support our mission of preparing students for a successful future. We also offer a strong Gifted and Talented curriculum that enhances the knowledge and creativity of our students. There are two outdoor classrooms and multiple gardens. We also offer STEM and we have a full science lab for all grade levels to experience hands-on- learning opportunities. Our students have many opportunities, such as band and strings, sports, and clubs. We strive to foster positive relationships in which all stakeholders engage, equip and empower our students to become leaders.
